Nice shot of an intersting flower. The date stamp has to go, though.

these are facinating flowers. i'm surprised they don't call them leopard lilies, but perhaps there are already some of these leopard colored. your focus looks real good at the base. perhaps the other areas of focus are just a limitation of your camera.

the date stamp has gotta go.

Wanna make sure the date is spot on he ;) Rather switch it off, it is contained in the exif info.

I'm not sure if you get a DQ for the date stamp, but I reckon it might cost you a few voting points, as it's pretty distracting.

I'm sure you've been made well aware of the date in the bottom right. Wouldn't be so bad if it weren't orange. But putting that aside, I think your overall intention was in the right place with the main focus is on the flowers. But the petal in the center of the photograph fell out of focus there which normally would slip by, but since it's in the center, it becomes kind of distracting.

Overall, the image seems a little over-compressed or over-sharpened. On the upside, the colors pop really well against the green background, so well done on that! But I'd say pay close attention to choosing a definite focal point and making sure that everything you want focused is where you want it. 8o)

Loose the date stamp! Also, the focus is very poor on this image.

I would have liked the whole flowers in focus and crop out the date.

Turn off the datestamp. As you're headed for DQ, I'll just offer that you could back off the sharpening quite a bit. Good luck.

The date stamp may or may not be grounds for a DQ, but to me it totally spoils any shot on which it appears.

Oops! You're going to get nailed for the date stamp.

I think that if the background was a little more out-of-focus it will be less disturbing. Beautiful photo.

you'll be disqualified for the text, but for next time... the focus seems to be on the wrong point and the background is very distracting

I like the idea of the shot. The date in the right corner is a bit distracting.
09/27/2006 02:56:49 PM
Nice shot.. but get rid of the timestamp!

Oh, don't like the date stamp at all. The flowers are fascinating and beautiful.
