Critique Club Review:
Focus is very good. Depth of field is too deep here. A really soft background could have made for some nice patterns behing the iris. I would love to see this picture redone with a shallower depth of field.
Color saturation and hue are all done well. Nothing looks artifical, or forced.
Lighting, I would have liked a little more light at the base of the plant, and a little darker wall.
Overall a nice pleasing photo. |

imo, there is too much light in the background and the attention is distracted from the flower |

This would be better with a more attractive, or more blurred, background. |

Try blurring background more by adjusting depth of field. The iris leaves are nice, and color of irises is good, but there's too much visual competition from the background. |
