 This is a HUGE Dahlia that I bought this morning at the farmers market. It was starting to go "down hill" and a little "moth-eaten" but it was still the prettiest one. Looks better in real life. I set it on a white plate then put it against my black velveteen fabric. Tried many different color backs but black was by far the nicest. Used my favorite light source (outside on a cloudy day). I know I'm taking a chance on the way I set the border against the plate but I thought it gave a different flair. "Different" can end up with mixed results though. Oh well, I like it...I think :)

Levels, hue/saturation, selective colors, unsharp mask, crop, neat image, border, save for webb.

I do very much like the plate right up against the borders - forms a lovely symmetrical background. Good light source, too! :-)
