Almost a great shot - I love how his feet are just leaving the wood! I would have preferred to see his face than his butt though!!!

Really good timing on your part. I do think the bottom could of been cropped out and more of the top of the wing showing. Still I'm sure you had to be quick to get this. Nice attempt.

I would suggest a crop down and in on both sides to reduse the sense that the clipped wings was unintentional. That focus here is the talons leaving the perch. If you were to crop down enough, you might not need to crop the sides. Great focus on the feet!
