| The backlight is spectacular, but there's too much empty black. Would benefit from tight cropping. |

| I really like this one. Great highlights and the sky is quite dramatic. Can be taken quite emotively. Wish the sky could have been a little MORE dramatic ie more breakup in the clouds, but without seeing it I don't know if that would look better or worse. Great shot! |

| Would be very nice if lighter. As it is, it's a little too dark for my taste - you can't really make out any detail on the bird. |

| Lovely lighting detail - like a cloud with silver lining except it's a bird! Nice contrast against the neutral grey of the cloud. Also like the cloud detail at lower right. |

| Beautiful moment of light to capture - had any 'oversharpening' comments yet? Like the feel of the wind you've captured, and the suggestion of the gull flying out of the black clouds. Would have liked some more subject matter in the background perhaps - the negative space gives the feel of isolation, but the breaking cloud at bottom right suggests there's more to be seen. |

| I like the highlights at the edges of the seagull's wings, nice! A little less silhouette (or a little more) might have been nice, but that's asking for a bit too much (no score affect). Nice framing. 8 Rob the Swash |

| I like how the wings seem to be highlighted with light, but I find the over-all effect a little too dark for my tastes. A solid photo though! |

| What a beautiful, inspirational shot this is, enhanced by a great title. I love how the bird would have been lost against the darkness of the sky had the light not outlined it the way it did. Try a different border. If I were voting, I'd never take that into consideration, but I think when you put this into your gallery, a diffrerent, or no border, for this would be better. |
