Challenge: Leading Lines III (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon PowerShot G2
Location: inside my classroom

Aperture: f3.2
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/20

This is Alstromaria, a plant pollinated primarily by bees. The lines on the petals are believed to assist the pollinators to find the nectar in the center of the flower. In turn, the bees will help in reproduction by transferring pollen to the pistils (I teach Biology and my students "dissected" flowers this week.) :)

I had my camera set on high contrast, color, and saturation.
Very minor changes in Photoshop: auto level, auto contrast, crop, desaturate the greens, unsharp mask, save for web.

Nice idea, lovely flowers. The overall image is too clutter for my taste - there are too many flowers!

Beautiful crisp colors, just not enough leading lines for me.

Very nice colours and the idea of nectar lines is a good one. 7.
