Hi from the Critique Club!

First of all, I've never attempted to photograph lightning. I have little idea how to go about it, so I admire anyone that does.

The drama in your image comes from that gorgeous red/orange of the sky and the lightning against it.
I love the fainter lightning streaks, like echoes of the main ones, that you managed to capture.
The huge black cloud is dramatic too; it's imposing and sinister. It gives me a feeling of claustrophobia and nearly dominates the whole image. Perhaps it's a little too dominating for some people?

Because the foreground and cloud are similar in colour it tends to make the image look flat and without depth. Something in the foreground with more definition might have helped.

I find the electricity wires a little distracting. Without the pylons they are attached to they seem out of context. But lightning won't wait for photographers to find the optimum place from which to shoot;)

The focus is slightly off but it's still a great capture of a unique moment in time.

The dark shadow at the top of the picture is a little bit distracting. Great colour in this shot.

That is electricity unconditionally! Oklahoma? Great shot.

I love and respect lightning shots, but the quality on this one seems too poor. Plus, the lines going across really distract from the lightning bolts.

Beautiful image! Lightning storms are some of my favorite photos to see. Feels like their could be more depth to this image though; like it could be a bit sharper from foreground to background. I still like it nonetheless! 8o)

Lighting pictures are really cool bu don't effectively address the effect of electricity of society and the environment.

Very nice picture. If you could have captured a little less clouds and little more trees I would rate it 8.
