I was going for the planting of a seed (idea) in one's mind...so I'm not sure how this was considered a stretch by most, considering the description asked you to "fertilize your imagination".

I'm also really not understanding why I didn't get more people questioning the signs. When I saw them, I was a aghast for a moment, though I was really the only one who seemed to notice. Perhaps in today's society, the thought of a pandemic just isn't that far fetched. Or maybe we're just too busy cooing over dandelions to care :) The corner was being used in the filming of the new movie: "I am Legend"...though when you first walked out of the subway you wouldn't have known. The woman with the red jacket directing you to read the sign was a favorable coincidence.

I'm glad to see a few took something away from it.

Yeah posthumous, I especially liked the "seed -> germ -> flu" tie-in...oh well ;)

an excellent image, it does help all of us to realize that when we move out of the box, many will not follow so the job is that much harder to get the idea across.

good luck on future challenges.

this is fantastic but maybe would have scored better in free study.

the 'seed' reference is a stretch.

Well, I wanted to write "something unusual" of course :) bad mistake...
Your image is great. Unfortunately people wanted to see some "real" seed in this challenge. A bit close-minded if you ask me. Your shot should have ranked MUCH higher!

I am so sorry people weren't smart enough to know that germ=seed. This should have won... :(

Ms. Asian flu wearing a red jacket like the "Official Notice" is quite a statement.

You work hard, take a good photo and then do some creepy processing on it. You should get the blue for this. 10

Without the title, there is NO connection to the topic. With the title..... you're pushing it a bit too far.

I'm surprised you didn't get slapped in jail for this caper in these paranoid times. Nice shot though. 8.

Very good out of the box thinking, I love the way the red jacket balances the whole thing out.
