 The magazine is Scientific American and the cover article is about the physics of supernovas. I originally did not intend this shot as I forgot to reset set the flash to off, but I'm glad that I got it as it makes me look like a Supernova of Blinding Light!!! *insert theme music here*

Or something.

I tried using replace color to get the wall and the whites in the blanket pure white. May have made for a better photo technically (although I know this is a bit of an unorthodox shot, lighting wise, anyway) but I decided not to use it since I liked having the whitest parts of the shot come from me (fitting the supernova theme).



The point of the shot was to show that being geeky doesn't mean you have to fit the taped-glasses-and-ugly idea.

I hear ya...I'm a geek and I don't even wear glasses :)

I think the explanation and theme fit well with the bright lighting you've got going on here. Good work!

What's that supposed to mean Judi? I know what a supernova is! It's rock band with a CANADIAN lead singer! ;p

And this is a nice pic. I agree, would be more effectual if you were able to make it look as though the light were coming out of the mag.
