 This is a shot that came out to be more than the moment involved. I have little or no makeup and haven't combed my hair in ages, yet the look is one of careful preperation. I'm pleased. I really like the softness, but still having the sharp eyes.

I tried bring my light in closer for more contrast in the lighting. I have a 500 w. hot light. I put the 250 w. hotlight right behind me, pointing to my back and stood only a couple feet from the background. then in processing, I lightened things up to bring out the whites, and added a glaus. blur, then used the history brush to bring back the eyes, lips and some detail in the hair.

Rather a quick take and edit, especially for me.

Nice effect, love how you've retained the sharpness of the eyes.. would have preferred a tighter crop more focused on your face, but very nicely done.

The lighting and the post processing is very good - I like the idea of trying a gaussian blur but keeping some details sharp. You've made that work very well here. The only thing I'm not too fond of is it looks as though your pose is a bit awkward or uncomfortable. Very nice catchlights too, by the way.
