After a long delay on my flight down here, I went out for dinner with friends from all over the US (we're here for an in-house work conference).

On the way back to the hotel, we passed this small park.

Even at f/3.5, the background was still sharp. Main thing I learned from editing was how to use a layer mask to blur out the background. I'd never done that before. How'd I do?

The blurred background is very well done. I've been using a lot of layer masking in this challenge and it's not something I could live without now. I like the off center pose and and it's a very candid shot with you looking out of the photo and smiling. Looks like you're trying to grow back the beard :)

Great job!

An honest SP, I love the natural smile. Blur is good too, you used just the right amount to be believable, I didn't even notice, I was more impressed you sat still for .5 s and it wasn't blurry. :p

You did great! This isn't easy - usually requires meticuous patience to do a good job. Only parts that could use touching up is the right cheek outline and around the back of the neck and left shoulder - just blur those slightly to remove the highlighting. Great job!
