Critique Club Review:

Really pretty photo. Lighting, color, contrast, brightness, hue and saturation are done very well.

The blues in this piece are fantastic, and I really like the layering of th hills in the background.

For my taste teh tre is a little centered. But what comes even more to mind as I spend time with this picture is that the tree, wich is almost silhouetted, is not strong enough to hold the picture.

I find my gaze keeps going through the tree to the background.

A shallower depth of field might help. What I really keep thinking is I wish the tree were not in the way, so I could see more of the rest of the picture.

Still a very nice picture and a well deserved top 40 finish.

Just lovely. The yellow grasses with the blue sea. WOW

Hmmm... I think I would have panned a bit more to the left for this. The rocks being directly behind the tree, seem to distract. I do like the layering in the bg mountains though. Nice work.

Gorgeous scenery. Wish the tree wasn't quite so centered.

this shot could be much better if the tree was dead center and covering the nice background.

I just realized I made a mistake. It should have said, "wasn't dead center". Sorry about that.

beautiful composition, great colors ( a pitty the dark part is a bit too dark, under the tree)

my first thought re: the dark grass is that it looks burned. it doesn't fit with the rest of the photo, which is really good.

The colors are so rich and beautiful, I want to like it more, but there's something about the composition that is bothering me. I think it is the dark band in the middle. Well-matched to the challenge theme. 6

Incredible light, creates nice golden tones in the grass. The composition gets a little busy with the tree placed directly in front of the rock formations.

Ahhhh! Dang, well, I guessed the other one was Bear Music's so I'm gonna have to go with Dr Achoo on this one. Wish I could have shot this with you!

Isn't this the same tree as in 'The Wedding Tree' in this challenge?

This little tree has had a lot of visitors this week.

The sort of image I think I have seen before a few times - but slightly different. The bright foreground does help to emphasize the blues in the background. I like the overall effect. 8.
