I was in Capri for vacation. We went up to the top of the mountain to see the views, and what a view.

Not much editing. Played with the layers, saturation, contrast a little and did a little selective burning.

Critique Club Review:

Color, saturation, brightness, contrast and hue are all very well done.

I like the way the ocean turns to sky, but you can't tell where.

The foreground shrubs/weeds/grass/??? that come in from the left block part of the tree and compete for attention.

The only other comment I have is that while this is a really beautiful shot, and the tree nicely frames the scene. It really functions as more of a frame than as a subject. I find myself looking at the islands in the bay much more than the tree.

Still a really, really pretty photo.

Nice prospective and use of the tree as a frame. Vibrant colors are nice. Bump 8

Nicely saturated colors and good framing of the ocean rocks. The extra foliage sticking in on the right is a little distracting however. 6

If the tree were not chopped off this would get higher marks. As a shot with a single tree as the subject, it is incomplete. Great colors and wonderful locale!

Ah Capri! I visited there in 1995. What a cool place! I'd love to see those sights again someday. I can't remember how to spell the name of the rock formation... the Faragioli, or some such thing. Anyhow, nice job!

Wasn't this place wonderfull! I was there during the heat wave this summer, the bay you see there, had about 10 time more boats. Great shot! I love the framing of the bay.

in all honesty, I don't care about the tree when the background is that interesting to look at. It appears that you are taking your viewer past the tree, which just happens to be in the picture. good colors throughout. the rocks don't look perfectly processed. 5
