I'm actually out of town most of this month, so I didn\'t get a bunch of time shooting. Too bad I will be not returning from vacation just after this contest is over.

This was shot with my new 105 ais 2.5. Just picked it up, so I was testing things out. Plus I figured it would be better than another one of my dog pictures. Tomorrow it is off to Italy (9/12). Cheers all.

Hello from the Critique Club!

This is a great example of how to contol your Depth of Field. This would be a great shot to use in a turtorial explaining how your aperture setting can produce this effect. However, I believe that this one technical aspect is not enough to leave a lasting impression on a viewer.

I think that the dull lighting is what hurts this picture the most. The bluish tint gives this a dreary feeling, like it is an overcast day and that it may be about to rain. Adjusting the white balance some would brighten this up and have a dramatic impact of the overall mood.

I wonder how many people saw the spider? :-)

This is a cool photo, Nice use of DOF, now im wondering.... Did you selectively place these or is this a natural grow too. Cause if its natural thats even cooler!

good control of your DOF. Theres a tad bit of a bluish cast, easily fixable in PS.
