This is a great photo. Wonderful use of low DOF here... I love how you know it's a dog, and he's looking at the grasshopper, but all your attention is also on the bug, almost as though you are the dog. Just very well done! I think cropping some of the top and the left might have helped to make this better compositionally... but I really enjoyed seeing this photo... :-) Nicely done.
