 Late bloomers in my backyard. It's this plant's first blooming this summer. Just lucky it gives out pale pink petals. In pastel lingo, I think it's called Powder Pink. Oh, and the grey bricks... Cream colored.Ooohh.
Anyway! I think it fits the Challenge. Hope you like.
In PP, I did...Crop, Levels, and Brightness/Contrast adjustments, Dodged the leaves a bit ti try and get them more "Mint" colored. Burned the roses a bit to get them to stand out a bit. Then I resized, NI'd and USM'd.

Critique Club Review:

Lighting, color, saturation, hue, contrast, exposure, are all done excellently.

Focus is great. Depth of field, I wish there was a little less of it. If the DOF was a little shallower, you would still have the sharp edge and detail around the rose, to contrast with the softness of the rose. However, the back edge of the stone to the left of the rose serves only to distract the eye. It is somewhat soft now, but softer yet would pull the eye back to the rose even more. I would even like to see the furthes leaves go soft at their tips.

The roses are fantastic, keep the eye there as they tell the whole story. Very well done!

I love the contrast of the flowers against the white stone. Looks like something you would see on a sympathy card. Absolutely beautiful!

Lovely colour in the roses, the light is nice. Maybe if you had gotten a bit closer to the flowers to eliminate some of the excess background, that doesn't really add a lot to the photo.
