Just a well-worn baseball that has been left sitting out in the elements. It was sitting on the barbecue pit. I had a much larger picture, but liked the detail that showed on the ball, so I cropped it down and made the 2/3 of the picture instead of the 1/3.

You should try to make sure that your photo is as large as it can be, check the tutorial for preparing entries in the learning section.

Object might be interesting but I would go for more zoom and offer viewers bit bigger picture.

looks as if your focus could be sharper, but with a small image it can be hard to properly assess. You may want to look at the DPC tutorials for how to size your image for DPC without it turning out tiny.

I don't know if you wanted to do this on purpose, but i think that pictures are best at the largest that you can get them i.e. 640 pix. on the long side.
