Impressive shot. I have tried for hours, many times to get a decent shot of these little buggers, to no avail. So I can fully appreciate what it takes to get a good one like this :-) Nice job.

I know that it is very hard to try to get the humming bird to stop in movement but for me I would ratehr see it completly still and sharp or have motion blur. people expect motion blur from humming birds. As it is it just seems blurry.

Nicely times shot, and composed well. I think this photograph is a nice candidate for a bit of D&B, esp around the face and eye in particular. Very nice otherwise.
