Before I got my tripod I too had problems with the looking down thing so I understand where you are coming from!!

I was drawn to the texture and colours of the shoreline and wanted to give the feeling of looking down at it. But I couldn’t seem to get that view from a normal standing point. So I simply held the camera as high as I could, pointing well down and trusted to luck and the cameras review function :-)

I like this. Gives great emotion and feeling. It is not your normal landscape type of shot.

This is fun, the bumped saturation and the leading lines!

Pretty, but I'm disappointed that the mountains are chopped off. Title tells me to look for sun, but the focus seems to be the shore. My eye wants to see more of the red hills. That's a great curve on the shoreline though.

Great leading line shot. Also like the saturation of colors. But somewhat over sharpened though. BOL

I like the angle this was taken out. I only wish the top of the hill in the background were also in the picture.

Stunning color and detail. Good work with the composition as well. I like the elevated view and the diagonal lines really give this image something extra. I think maybe a tighter crop would work better. Althought I do like the green those trees provide. Great job.

Lovely depth of field and gentle organge, brown, red tones in the gravel bank leading off to the red hillside. Overall, a lovely composition.

Composition: 6 - The crop at the top seems a little tight, but the leading lines of the shore work well to guide the eye. Shame there's nothing at the end of them.
Technical: 6 - Seems oversharpened to me, and a bit on the bright side, but not too bad.
Creativity: 5 - I think with something in the shot to give it a point of interest it would look more unique.
Appeal: 5

Overall Calculated Average Score: 5

This seems a little tilted to me. I like what you were going for but the tilt distracts from the beauty of your shot for me.

Somewhat oversharp, most evident in the rocks. Composition isn't bad, although I'd like to have the hill at top not cut off. 5
