 I have been so busy lately with school that I didn't have much time to really shoot some of the things I wanted to, so I just chose my favorite of the month. I know Free Studies mean tough competition, but we'll see what happens.

This shot was pretty simple, and inspired by kiwiness. It's a lightbulb with the bulb removed. I set my white balance to natural light and used a flash to get the blue color. I adjusted sharpness and contrast in Photoshop, a little NeatImage, and that's it.

i think the smoke is the star here and I dont like that its cut off. hth 5

Interesting shot. I like the lighting for the smoke. I also like that you caught it just as the filament melted off of one side.
