For my taste it's too tight and too centered. It's fine to cut off features such as the chin or ear but they shouldn't have a cut-off feeling which they do in your image. Her eyes also seem to be looking just a slight hair off to the side, a thing I nitpick about that some people don't seem to mind.
 
That's as tight as I get but you may want to look at the Portrait Section or Challenges and find some super tight images that kick. |

Wonderful eyes. The crop feels a bit inbetween, too tight, or not tight enough. I'd love having this shot of my child.

I think it is a terrfic photo- very engaging. My only tweak would be to lighten the dark neck. Otherwise- great

personally not the biggest fan of high key, but it is a very nice photo...
other than wanting to see exposure come down a bit, i'd also like to see this one w/ the eyes in color... sure, it's a bit of a gimick, but nothing wrong with that... ;)
i think i might agree w/ rex on the crop, though i think you could have a very nice photo if you cropped above the mouth and below the hair, too... it would give it a completely different mood, i think...

Love the eyes also. I think maybe too tight of a crop. I would like to see the whole chin. But it is a great high key image.
