Critique Club Review:
Focus is good, depth of field starts to get soft before it leaves the subject. His right shoulder shows softness on the lines of his shirt.
I think you cropped this one a bit tight. You've cut off the top of his head, and his hands come from nowhere. Were it not for the soft right arm and shoulder, it could be someone else's hands.
I would suggest a slightly different angle, and would have asked the person next to him to stand aside for a moment. As it is, we have a phantom torso and hand distracting attention from the subject.
Color, saturation, contrast and hue are done very well. Skin tones are quite believeable, and highlites are not too bright, nor darks featureless.
Overall I like this picture, it really looks like he is about to come to life and tell the viewer something. |
