I've wanted to catch a sun rise on this lake for a while but either couldnt find the right scene or the sunrise was uncooperative with no color. There was very little post processing, a little levels adjustment and resizing to post. Looking at it now I probably should have straightened the horizin a little but overall the picture turned out as I pictured it when I shot it.

seems a bit to red: too much post editing?

John, I would like to see a print of it - comptuer displays can be tricky. It appears too red/orange and borders on more of a fantasy scene (which is not necessarily a bad thing - I sort of like the surrealness of it). I'm not sure either about the large overhanging tree. It does not seem to fit in with the rest of the photograph. I do like the silhouette of the tree stumps scattered over the water. They look like little figures. I also like the trees on the horizon. Not sure though about the tree in the foreground. It blocks my view.

I think this is a shot that works heavily saturated...nice job...

Great color and reflection on water...maybe would prefer bit less of that tree at left.

oh wow what a sky. how'd you do that?

Stunning colors... The reflexion is nice also... hm, the tree doesn´t look that interesting to me as the subject of a picture but, overall it is nice - 7

I like the scene in general. I wish you'd chosen the more distant stumps/trees as your subject rather than the close tree in the upper left. I find the stumps rising out of the lake a far more interesting subject. Focusing on the stumps or using a larger DOF to put those in focus as well as the near tree would really improve this picture.

WOW, that is way cool looking

Nice capture on the colors. Too bad you have a contrail.

Nice colors in the sky & the water. Good shot :)

I love the sky but the slight tilt of the horizon (appears to be going up left to right) is a bit distracting. the colors are beautiful.

I like the colors.

Great shot- not so sure however that silhouettes are the focus of the shot. It's good enough to give the benefit of the doubt however. Nice job

Simply Gorgeous!!

Beautiful colors! The light area created by the jet contrails and it's coresponding reflection in the water make this photo particularly interest. My only improvement suggestion would be to rotate the whole thing clockwise to straighten out the horizon line. 8

I'd fix the slight tilt of the horizon. Nice colors.
