| Isn't it irritating that one has to compete with ones point-and-shoot when using the DSLR. I like this image a lot. It's nature at the personal level. |

best of the bunch. The parts of the pic work well together. Green vs. grey(?); DOF of shrooms; curve of the grass...just a well taken picture.

| Nicely done macro. I especially like the curve of the background, the dof, and the composition here. I'm not a fungus photo fan, really...but this one I like! |

| A really nice nature shot, but it makes you wonder - why are the mozzies biting the mushrooms? And how will the mushroom scratch themselves? ;>þ |

This image has some interesting lines. It's almost like the image is two parts with a cool background being made up of the green moss and the (wonderfully blurred by DOF) grey rock (it is a rock isn't it?) consisting of the "canvas", and then part 2 is the mushrooms. The mushrooms feel 3D-ish because they jump off of the "canvas".
Funny, I've NEVER used the word canvas to describe an image at DPC, and I'm coming up on 2 years now. Just feels right for this image. ;^)

| Great shot... love the details of the mossy ground and the simple color, dof and composition. The little bugs are a great addition too! |

What an amazing photo Sarah! The little bugs just make it because they give you a true perspective of what you are looking at. The composition is excellent!

I just love fungi, so any images I see of these, I always look at them. Wonderful DOF, and also amazing clarity here as well.
"WOW", I had to add another comment, as I have just seen the mozzies on the stem......
