 I did have another idea that I have been perfecting... in my head... for this challenge but I did some edits to this picture & thought I would use it instead. I know DPCers usually have a distinct aversion to pictures of kids but the more I look at this pic the more I love it. While I value DPCers, their votes & opinions, it has never really influenced the choice of shots I have submitted. It's all about me dammit! :P
This pic was taken at my lil cuz's birthday party. She loves butterflies & had a lil butterfly wand which was way cute. Most uncooperative with picture taking, I managed to snap this pic of her that captured a bit of her unwillingness to have pictures taken of her.
Post Processing Steps:
1. Adjusted levels to get the exposure mostly right
2. Cropped to get rid of the rocks on the top left in the original.
3. Created a dupe layer and polarized the hue to get some greener pastures
4. Layer mask to reveal the original colour of Oroni but keep the grass an even green.
5. USM
6. Neat Image to reduce some of the noise
7. A bit of healing brush to remove a tiny rash on her cute little cheeks
8. Resized & optimised for web & that's a wrap!

Sweet shot but not sure about the angle and it looks like you focused on her hands and not her eyes

looks like possibly too much neat image on the face but i love the fantasy feel with the glowing effect and bright mystical colors. 7

Personally, this looks like it was neat-image was used a bit too agressiviely, but I like the perspective -6-
