 This is Miss Brooke. She didn't really want to do any pictures because she just woke up and her hair was all a mess.

To me, she is pretty any time. The only problem with this shot was that it was the middle of the day which I know doesn't make for good portraits.

Nice DOF and for someone who didnt want their picturing taking you have made a good job capturing a little smile here. As you say the middle of the day hasn't helped you with retaining detail on the top of her hair but apart from that this is nice. Now if she'd just looked at the camera for a moment this would have gone from nice to fantastic (MHO) :o)
