Critique Club Review:

It took a bit to see this one. The exposure of the campers is good. The lost maiden however, is competing with the rest of the picture, or it could be said the rest is competing with her. The movment here does a little harm as I initially took the arms of the maiden as flame or smoke. While trying to figure out what it is, the eye keeps getting pulled away by the light at the door to the RV.

Had this been done round a campfire, or other area that more complimented the maiden, it might have been more effective.

The lighting is especially creepy here. I love how unusual this is.

I like the idea here.//www.dpchallenge.com/challenge_vote_image.php?IMAGE_ID=382880#

However, this composition doesn't hold my attention. I looked right at the people in the middle of the photo first, and then seeing nothing especially interesting or relevant to magic or mystery, I wandered around until I noticed the face in the lower left.

Maybe if you'd blurred out the people in the middle a bit, and cropped the right third off, it would've driven my eye more to the "lost maiden." 4.

I give you credit for the idea, but not for the execution. If you could, I'd somehow link the ghost with the people in the back (by their actions or expression). Here it just looks like the people in the back are random and not part of the composition. 4

seems a bit noisy and very cluttered ... not easy to find a primary focus
