 I wanted to do a dark portrait, I tought something about a witch, wich involves (at least for me)magic and mystery, so this is what I came with.

Lighten with two lamps, and a fan to make the hair fly.
A lot of PS work...
Duplicate layers,desaturate, blend, clon and heal to clean... Sharpen mask, and gaussian blur.. Selective color for the eyes. Dodge and burn. Adjustment layers (levels, curves, contrast)... Dont remember more :P

The is excellent. The lighting, hair and expression are really amazing. The eyes almost cut into you. Only thing I would change is to have the eyes a bit sharper.

this photo is perfect:
1. clarity, the photo is so clear, and at the same time, it's ethereal
2. symmetry and balance
3. focal point: great job on the eyes
4. color variation: highlights in the hair, rosy glow of the skin, the color of the mouth is perfect, the dark brows and eye liner.
here's the bonus, the title. how interesting. this is what i get - she is a vampire from salem's lot/ or her name could be salem. either way, the allusion is not lost.

G, amazing capture. It really fits the challenge in a subtle way. Wish it was a portrait crop to go complement the strong expression. Nevertheless, I love it.

Spooky! I like it a lot. The soft focus works well in this case. I like the tight crop - it emphasizes her face over her hair and keeps the focus on her eyes. 6.
