 Taken at the SLC Belly Dancing Festival. PP includes, convert from RAW, Crop, Levels, Curves, H/S, B/C, convert to B/W with channels, Free transform to correct distortion of dancer due to low angle of shot, Dodge & Burn, canvas size, convert to greyscale, save as jpeg.

Very nice. I especially like the light on the stage floor, how it fades at the edges but the lines between the boards continue beyond... and her reflection. Certainly says "mystery" to me :)

This looks to me like a dramatic moment from a play, but the drama seems to be her emotion, not that she's casting a spell. Assuming your title reflects what was really going on, then my comment is that the photo doesn't capture that for me.

It's a nice photo otherwise - good composition and lighting, although I might've cropped a bit more off the bottom.

But lacking a connection in the image to the challenge (as opposed to the title), I can't give it higher than a 4. So, 4 it is.

Nicely exotic. B&W conversion isn't bad. Might have been a tough exposure, but maybe a bit too bright on the skin (esp around the eye). Composition and framing is nice. 7
