I made a paper doll of Steve as an Elvis impersonator. I call him "Flat Stelvis". Then Stelvis and I went grocery shopping. Whilst setting Stelvis up amongst the canned peas, I attracted the attention of an older gentleman who didn't have his reading glasses and wanted to know what the ingredients were on a particular can of soup. He asked me who "the guy" was, and I briefly explained the Steve-Wandering-in-the-Desert ordeal, which luckily fell short of forty days and a burning bush or the Vatican might have some things to answer for. Then at the other end of the aisle, a guy collapsed with breathing difficulties of some kind. I took that as my sign to stop taking pictures as I didn't want to be accused of anything untoward, so I only got the one shot.
I only wish I had a better printer so that the noisy printout was more easily blended in amongst the cans. It's a terrible picture, but I'm hoping that the badness is taken well as it's rather meant to be horrible and cheesy, but I'll flat out predict a 4.5 at best. Intentional pun. I'm not in this one for the scores, if you haven't guessed by now. ;-)
If Steve gives it his blessing, I thought it might be fun to start up a Flat Stelvis exchange, in the spirit of Flat Stanley, Flat Elvis, and Amelie's yardgnome. Hit me up if you're game and we can start a thread called "The Adventures of Flat Stelvis" or somesuch for posting cheesy Flat Stelvis pics. :D |

OhhhhhK! Believe me, I wonder to. :) I can tell you this, those beans and peas would have tasted mighty good when I was lost in the desert. Getting the can open would have been a trick but I'd have figured out something.
Btw, Elvis stopped in to see how I was doing during my delirious desert wanderings. I can accurately report that he is alive and well. Can't quite put my finger on it but your depiction of Elvis has never made him look better. ;) - Steve |
