I bet some people will complain about the cluttered background. I, however, like it a lot because it shows the setting. It is sufficiently blurred to not interfere with your subject, and it helps to tell the story.

| A great and certainly a very colorful portrait of this man. Love the bold and vibrant hues painted on this individual - the colors 'pop' visually off the page. Details are wonderfully nice and sharp. The only critique I have is on the composition - namely the distracting presence of the background people and costumed wing from someone else's garb. Either a tighter crop shaved closer to his face or a shot taken from a slightly different angle would/could remove most if not all those distracting background elements. That would keep the attention focused squarely on this man. Given the title and the colorful garb of this man this certainly is a great journalistic shot capturing the event. And yes, given that it is an event it is hard to get a shot without too much distracting background elements. For the most part you have accomplished that but I do think you could crop a little more to get rid of that pink wing on the left. Lastly, I not sure that the photo needs the thin green border as that there are enough lovely and vibrant hues of green in the overall composition itself. Adding another green element to it maybe a tad much in my honest opinion. |

| This is really beautiful, with the greens, reds and ultra-clear face. I like that you found the exact same hue of green in the background things (umbrella?) a in the makeup and butterfly. I also like the guy's amused but thoughtful expression - cute smile! |
