Love the shot. Because of the texture/interest of the shoes, I would love to see the feet/footwear included in the frame and not cropped out. It is part of what makes him "a pic worth taking"
Would love to see this shot with you stepping a couple of steps to your right. So that the vertical pole is just to his right leaving only the horizontal poles crossing your subject. The hands are/"may be" an intricate part of the story, and unfortunately, are partially hidden.
