I think the composition works for me but the shot is not sharp anywhere. You need to decide what it is that you want the viewer to "see".

This could have worked if the image was in focus. The background, is it supposed to be black? Some levels adjustment or B/W points might help with that a little. Keep at it...and good luck.

seems a little noisy. maybe you could have used levels to make the black more of a solid black. doesn't seem very sharp either.

I generally like pictures with a shallow depth of field, but I can't seem to find the focal point in this image. A little too out of focus for me.

Interesting composition. I quite like it and the title provides an interesting take on the image. The fact its out of focus makes it a little uncomfortable to look at. Don't know if you did that on purpose for effect or not but I feel it detracts from the image. Good Luck with the challenge.
