After inflicting some painfull burns on myself I switched to setting fire to things other than body parts. 2nd shot at a tennis ball and am happy enough to put the matches down for another week ;)

Held ball in the palm of my hand, lit it and when the flame had built up I grasped the ball and clicked. The scorch mark is where the ball was soaked in ISO Propryl alcohol

Glad you gave up on setting light to yourself (for now). I like the movement of the flame and the position of the arm in the frame is good. I might have to agree that the lighting is a little harsh on the arm and detracts slightly from the flame but still a good idea :o)

Nice shot - the flames are a little bit far away from the ball to make it convincing that the ball is actually on fire but good nevertheless

I guess you should have blended the arm, it seems out of place with that lighting...

Very nicely done, the flame almost looks like a hand waiting for you to give it the ball. 10.

Even though this has been done before I like it. But the green from the tennis ball is a little overwhelming it draws my eye away from the fire which should be the subject. Good effort and I give it generous 7

ETA By generous I meant 7.5 :-P

Nice idea here, though the light on the arm is too harsh.

it's good and you must have put a lot of work into it...I just find the lighting on the arm a little harsh (flash?)
