I like the movement, curves and shapes the flame is making. Definitely meets the challenge and has some nice orange tones. I do wish the flame was sharper though, better focused (not just by adding sharpening) so the lines and edges were more defined in their shape. I gave a 5

i'd prefer to see mroe of the source of the fire but i'm glad you didnt cut off the fire too much if at all.

Lot of just flames so I know the subset competition is tough. The biggest thing is focus. I know fire is tricky. I like the shape the the tones are good. I mentioned the sharpness and i would have had it portrait. 6

There are just too many contextless, dismbodied flame shots in this challenge, and to be honest none of them are terribly interesting. This is much like the Fireworks challenge, where the photos that scored best actually placed them in some kind of context. There's no good clarity here to put it at the top of the field of similar candidates.
