A different perspective on the grounds that get me up.

Thanks to everyone for the comments After reading the description of the challenge a half dozen times I decided if DPC wanted wide angle shots of trees or buildings they are quite capable of wording it that way. I think they intentionally leave it open to cultivate creativity. I don’t know, but maybe it’s my take on artistic license. Maybe it’s because I don’t have a wide-angle lens.

As for the shot, I did have trouble with the cup blending into the background, but I still wanted a simple table top look. I hoped the light shadows would give enough definition to the edges and I notice on some LCD monitors, the edges appeared better defined and that depended on the angle. I’m here for ideas and to improve so thanks again for your comments.

:) I get it. And well shot too.

If it were from the full bean, the coffee just wouldn't taste as good. High marks for a bold and creative take on the challenge.

Back to comment. I love the play on words and hope you don't get hit too badely from the DNMC crowd. Technically, this doesn't meet the ground up perspective of the challenge description but I'll give you a 6 for giving me a smile this morning.

love the pic, but find the white cup merges too much with background.

The challenge is about photos, not captions. The description of the challenge mentions a perspective from the ground, not a pun. Sorry.

I hate when people use the challenge title in the title of their photo...but...this is a nice twist! I like my coffee like I like my women...in a cup! I'm teasing ok!

You deserve what you get for this entry ;-) Not even sure what I mean there. I think it is an interesting interpretation and the humour is just fine with me.

Hehe, I like the play on words. While the topic is from the perspective of the ground up, I'll pay this. I wish I could see the edges of the cup a little clearer though.
