the background looks ridiculously burned down and/or photoshopped in some way. and the swimmer looks like he's too heavily dodged.

but nice expression.

Might have cloned the chair out? 6

too bad you couldn't get the chair out of there, still an awesome capture though!

Nice action shot. Not quite fast enough on the shutter speed IMO as the water spray coming up behind him isn't really frozen as the challenge theme requires (no motion blurs, etc...). The chair in the top left is a bummer as it takes away from the subject. Nice blue color in the water. Almost looks like the blue was bumped up some in saturation it's so vivid. Just curious, what's that yellow line in the lower left?

Overall, nice capture. Good luck in the challenge.

nice shot, shame about the chair--that absolutely makes the difference between a good shot and a great shot. it's one thing when you have no control over your backgrounds; it's altogether different when you do...

Very good capture. An 8. Were the chair out of the frame it would be a 9 from me.

Just a little change of angle to move that chair out of the frame this would be a perfect shot.

Gr8 contrast on the arms and well captured water with good light effect

Shame about the chair being in the frame!

This would have been even more spectaculat without the chair in the background. Still a great shot though.

The chair takes away the attention.
