Challenge: Stopped Motion III (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: HP PhotoSmart 735
Location: San Francisco
Date: Jul 31, 2006
Aperture: f/4.9
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/549
Date Uploaded: Aug 5, 2006

As I was leaving City Hall, I caught local politicians giving a news conference on the front steps of the building. I liked the view through the front door looking out at the politicians' backs.

Crop, shaddows, sharpen, resize.

Thanks!

where is the motion??

Nice architectural(sp?) shot, if a bit tilted.

Ummm. Nope. Can't rely on a title, and this is really a stretch. Picture-wise, they look like plastic people for some reason. Would make a good shot for a story at City Hall, though.

OK, I guess, I believe you.

Hmmm...pushing it a bit here on meeting the challenge. Stopped motion is where? Even if you sell the challenge theme to viewers you are going to take some hits for not having the image level horizontally. JMO of course. Hope it does well for you.

when i see shots like this, i can't tell if you threw it in just for fun, or if you're serious. if you want better scores, maybe check out this thread.

all in all, in addition to being an extreme shoe-horn for the challenge, it's a pretty sloppy shot. horizon is tilted, it's not very sharp, and it's over-saturated. the thing is, it's a nice idea that probably has it's place--if executed properly.

I'm sure the politicians mouths were working furiously, but I don't really see this as stopping motion.

Sorry, but this shot is leaning to the right and not what I'd call "stop motion". However, for your out of the box thinking and the unusual perspective, I'll give you a 6.
