 Yeah I know, I hate myself for submitting this too... Just done last minute for the WPL so I would at least have something in the 5th week. Done in a real hurry with stuff around the house, was going to try and shoot something different on saturday night or sunday but me and my wife decided in a hurry to go to our familys summer home for two nights on saturday so I had about an hour to come up with a shot for the challenge as I didn´t come home till monday evening. Don´t get me wrong, I myself like these kind of shots though and they are a lot of fun to do, no way I am going to stop but I really do think I need to change them a bit, use something other than a friggin strawberry and the same wine glass though but this time I let it slide as it was done for the WPL.

If anyone is curious "how it´s done" wich I doubt, it´s listed under this photo.



Post processing was a bit, recolored sides of the glass blue with a brush as they were yellow, curves adjustment on just the glass and water to make it stand out more from the backround (brighter), curves again to increase contrast and finally sharpened and added frame after resizing. Healing brush to remove a couple bothersome drops and a couple of dust spots.

Wow ... that's some clear water, filtered in the way only mountain springs can do. The blue tones and the intense red of the strawberry are outstanding. The "stop" is flawless. Upon first glance though, my thought was this image needed to be tilted 1 degree CW for absolute perfection.

Yep. It's a splash alright. ;^) Good color, nice capture of the water splashout. Lighting looks good as does the focus. Should do ok with this one. Good luck.

"Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! I originally gave you an 8 on this one, but I'm gonna push it up a little bit. Technically, this is a very well executed shot. The gray background really allows the strawberry to stand out, as the glass tends to drift away into the background tones. The movement of the water is very nice and well done. The only reason that I didn't give you a 10 is because this shot lacks a bit of originality, but that doesn't mean it's not near perfect, because it is. Heck, I'm gonna give you a 10 because that darn strawberry just stands out so well!

it's a great picture, though the fact that it's been done before (complementary colours i think) lessens the immediate pazzazz of the shot. the timing is impeccable; the splosh of water out of the top of the glass is super. and the colours are nice, bright, bold and tasteful. it's very likeable; 8.

This reminds me of Larus' shot. Maybe it is his.

Very good sharpness, colors and lighting. The idea isn't original but it's good.
