 My niece Abigail. I love her cowboy boots.
I adjusted the levels somewhat but it's still a bit overexposed in the highlights. I thought the contrasty-ness wouldn't be as harsh seeming in B&W so I desaturated and then colorized in GIMP for tone.

I think you were right about making this b&w. The highlights work well. It all seems planned! :) A perfect child's portrait. She's not bored waiting for you to take a picture. You're taking a picture as she's just being herself.
