post challenge--hey, thanks to all of the commentors for taking the time. It's obviously not obvious that this was taken from the vantage point of the ground. If taken from standing position, you'd see a ton more of her face, and her belly/haunches wouldn't be so exaggerated.

Like the picture, donĀ“t really understand how it fits the challenge, but... Good colors, love the light in the horses "hair??"

Beatiful shot. But, with the angle and perspective as such I can't say it's very much on topic. Will come back and have another look later. Currently sits as a 6 with me because of not being very much on topic.

I'm not sure how this meets the challenge. Beautiful photo though.

I'm not sure if this meets the challenge (boy I hate saying that). Otherwise I like the picture, it has good composition and I like the lighting.

This is a lovely evocative picture. However, the vantage seems to be across rather that looking up.

This is a cool photo - I like how the horse is looking off in the distance. Don't know how it fits with the theme, though.

it's a fantastic shot...really, I have absolutely no complaints about this whatsoever...but, does it meet the challenge?

This is a beautiful shot! It does not give a great perspective of from the ground up and probably would be better suited for the zen challenge. 8

A wonderful photograph, but I really don't see how it fits the challenge.

Great pic, but "ground up"?

Absolutely gorgeous picture, and I'll vote as such, but seems to be in the wrong challenge?

Lovely catch and nice tones, but I'm not getting the connection to ground-up(?)

Fabulous backlighting, wonderful animal portrait but I am not seeing the "from the ground up" part. I'd like to see a shot with perhaps more leg and a perspective up his body.

Pretty picture, but I am not sure how it meets the challenge. The focal point appears to be at eye-level. Still, like I said, nice work otherwise.

Beautiful photograph, not sure it meets the Challenge criteria, but even if the theme was "Anything but Horses" you still get a 10.

OMG, this is one of the coolest pictures I have ever seen!!! I definetely rate this by 10!!! The only thing I would change next time (if you will have a chance) is to flip the camera, so the legs are also in the picture. It might get a bigger "experience".
Btw, don't you have more of those? I would be very interested in seeing them. Thank you!

Great photo, but I am a little lost as to how this ties into the theme. I think the angle of the lighting is brilliant, as well as the positioning of the subject.

Bravo, I'm not really much of a horse person. But this is really great!

Such a striking image but I'm a little loss as to why it fits this challenge. Maybe I'm missing something...
