I don't know who that shaggy guy is on the left side of your photo, holding what appears to the trained eye a Nikon D50, is but for me it really makes the photo, LOL. I hope voters don't think the candy is monumental sensor dust:p I like all the action you got and perfect timing on the candy drop.

My favorite so far!!!! Maybe its the kids and how you caught their expressions or maybe the colors throughout, but I LOVE IT. The candy in midair is AWESOME. The kites are phenomenal. Definately a 10 in my eyes!

I really like this and it fits the challenge very well. I'm not even quite sure what is going on but I love the kids faces and actions!
I would say it could use a bit more saturation and contrast. Otherwise, great compostion and photo!

I don't know...it's scarry...I can't look any longer...those things are freaking me out! I'm afraid they are spooking the flying octopuses!

Maybe more vivid colours would have been more in tone with the subject, but its a very nice one.

Some of the looks on the childrens' faces are hilarious. Would have been great to get some separate close-ups, but I suppose this all happened rather quickly! Nice job, one of the more original entries in my opinion. Some critique: would have liked the 'kites' to be composed a bit more uniformly so maybe a crop, and some PP to make the colors pop a bit more.
