My first real test of the 17-85 lens. Image stabilization rocks!

This was taken handheld just outside of Central Park while I was wandering around the city with Skiprow. I was experimenting with motion pans that day, and I thought this was the most interesting of the bunch.

Processing: Crop, Levels, USM, HSL with some adjustment of individual color channels, and Curves. Nothing major- mostly a matter of deepening the midtones for richer color.

it a horrible pun.... I am thinking your shutter must have been very slow to get this much blur. It is a bit much.

I love this one - the streaking blurs give you such a strong sense of motion!

Nice panning shot! This technique works well here to take away the distracting background. Too bad you couldn't get one with a happy couple in the carriage. ;^)

Meets the challenge well. I like this shot because it is different, colorful and somehow still has the guy on the seat in good focus. At the same time, the sheer volume of motion blur is a distraction for me. Possibly cropping out some of that background would have made this a little less busy and made it easier for the eye to focus on the subject. A nice shot, good work. 5.

If only that car wasn't behind the horse .... Excellent panning of a difficult subject.
