The little white buttons seem to overpower the rest of the composition for me.

My grandma has a very large tin and several old ball jars full of old buttons. She promised to leave them to me. This image brings back so many memories when I would play with them as a little girl. I can even remember the old smell as I would open the lid. I even recognize several in this image. What a fantastic treasure!

This image has great texture and colors. I imagine the lighting was a bit tricky with all those reflective white buttons.

A great example of bits and pieces. Reminds me of my mothers enormous stash of buttons. She must have like 10 pounds of them...

Fits theme but needs more interesting composition. Arrange bits in a way that leads viewer's eye through photo.

I have been looking for a collection like that to shoot. Try arranging it. You will have fun and might come up with something that pops out a little more than simple piled up chaos.
