 The Bride and groom did not use unity candles during the wedding theused this jar and they each had a different color to pour in (Bride-White Groom-Black) and they took turns and poured in there color the cup (or glass) has left over sand on the glass.... hope this is a little more clear.

I am not sure what the significance of the jug and dirty glass are in this shot Chris...
