I have no idea how this will do so I'm guessing anything from 4.7 to 6.2 is possible but since it's not super colorful or has a strong subject (which I tried to avoid to be true to the challenge) it'll probably end up being 5.5. I had another shot that I liked better but given the definition used for Zen in this challenge I went with this.

You might try softening the shadows on the near side of the sticks just a touch-- they may add just enough excess contrast to add an element of harshness to an otherwise pastoral (and pastel) scene.

In my opinion the commenters saw the picture the majority of the others didn't. This is a great Zen shot, pure serenity.
Love the colours and the "endless" picture.

A very pretty and calm shot, albight a bit cliche.

Great job meeting the challenge. Very minimal, very serene. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'!

Good colours, I would have been tempted to remove the little piece sticking up from the reflected pink cloud as this gives more attention to the 'group' of 'bits' (but I am picky!) :o)

5: I find the patches of bright color very distracting

The pink hues add much serenity to this already peaceful, minimalist scene. Cleverly done, 10.

Very much like I imagine "zen" to look like. Beautiful photo!

I think this is a great example of zen, very still and composed. I like the contrast of the dark sticks to the powder blue/soft pinks as well but the image feels like there's a haze to it, like the colors could be richer/deeper somehow. Not sure if that's the result of how the light is hitting the water or what. Still I gave a 7.
