Challenge: Action Shot II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Olympus E-20
Location: Farmer's Feild
Date: Jul 29, 2006
Date Uploaded: Jul 29, 2006

So this was a rather messy shot! Thanks to Joey Lawrence for getting muddy and jumping on a scaffold;)

It was taken on the side of a busy road on the edge of a muddy farmer's field, in the pouring rain. We are standing on a scaffold made up of 2 ladders and a board. It wasn't the most substantial stage, but it worked ;) We got some wierd glances from the people driving by, and it was a race to catch the sun before it totally set, but it is possibly the most fun I've had taking a picture :)

Arrr..I like pirate shots....

the cool thing about action, if done correctly, makes the image move. We are skilled at still images, yet we can make them move. You make them shake....Keep it up and within a few moments you might crack my favs...

This is such a magical action shot, and I am so pleased it did so well in this challenge. Shame it didn't get on the front page, but it is a great score Shermy. Just noticed that your score was much higher than my score in "bits and pieces" so you did really well here Shermy, and very proud of you.
Gee, you are riding the crest of a wave lately, as you are taking some awesome images, dear friend.....

Lovely! Like just the little hint of detail on the two people. I find the dust/earth distracting because I'm not sure exactly what it is.

Very creative...The red sky is awesome and the costumes are cool. Kinda reminds me of Pirates or Peter Pan. I love the dirt in midair from the jumpers shoes. Very dramatic over all, I give it a 10!

I like the composition, but I must ask, what IS that that the model is holding? An ax or a sword?

"WOW"..."WOW"..."WOW", this is just ao dam good, I just hope it does well for this challenge, and hopefully on the front page..... The sky is just amazing, and the silhouette of the two action figures are perfect..... This is a winning image here, and hope it is in the "top" five at least.....

Very cool. I like the red sky and the dirt coming up from the sword (or guy) hitting the groud. 8
