Awesome! I love it. It's so underrated. That's just how dpc is. The voters don't like unusual DOF. I love it!

Nice use of shallow DOF.

I like the idea a lot, but I wish it was all in focus.

nice DOF, but i would have liked more if the focus was in the middle or the bottom of the picture.. well JMO.. nice idea!

I love the idea and the colors. But the out of focus I feel needs to be in the top part of the image instead of the bottom part. It is very distracting and takes away from your picture.

Nice, fits the theme, nice use of DOF, but the out of focus portion of the photo is maybe too large (and the out of focus too intense). Good one anyway!

Too much of the picture is out of focus..

I think this might have been a lot stronger if you had brought the focal point forward and let focus soften to the background. Great colors though, it would have been easy to have oversaturated.

STARTED OUT GOOD BUT THE BAD FOCUS THROWS IT ALL OFF.

not the best DOF you could have chosen

This image comes across overexposed to me; perhaps too contrasty as well. I'd prefer to see richer tones throughout. The other thing I wonder about, is could you have laid the focus down more in the middle so the foreground was OOF, the middle sharp, and the background fading OOF as well? This might have been stronger; my eyes are resisting moving up to the very top where the actual plane of focus is, so the end result is that it FEELS like the whole thing is OOF.

that shallow dof hurts my eyes. maybe if the in-focus ones were up front it might help.
