Yes, the scene really was (nearly) that warm. Very low light just creeping over the trees, lots of dead reeds and grass.

Edited to add... a Common Darter is a small dragonfly found over most of the UK. This wing position is usually taken by newly-emerged insects while drying their wings.

I bet you got lots of details in the large file, especially in the wings of the... uuuh... insect. Love the color tones and the bokeh!
