so, what is this a picture of, anyway? this is a photo of red laser light refracted through a crinkled plastic water bottle. Behind the water bottle was a sheet of white paper, onto which the red light was projected. The camera was pointed at the projected image. Color added in Photoshop.
why didn't you enter this into the challenge? there are three main reasons:
1) couldn't make it look good at all under Basic Editing. the photo isn't all that photographic anyway, and I don't think it would do well in a challenge.
2) pressed for time!
3) I started with the idea to use laser light in this fashion, and in so doing, discovered that the result isn't all that linear. So, I don't even think it's appropriate for the challenge.
I think it's interesting how similar the shapes are to those found in my image entitled 'the depths of space and time.'
